    The Updates Page

Navigate to the Updates page from the main navigation. This page lists all recent changes to JobLine.ai: new features, improvements to existing features, bug fixes, and security updates. Each entry includes a title, description, category (Feature, Improvement, Fix, Security), date, and version number. Updates are listed in reverse chronological order so the latest changes are always at the top.

    Update Categories

Feature: a new capability that did not previously exist (e.g., a new chart type on the analytics dashboard). Improvement: an enhancement to an existing feature (e.g., faster load times, better mobile layout). Fix: a correction to a bug or unexpected behavior. Security: a change related to authentication, data protection, or access control. Understanding the category helps you assess the relevance and urgency of each update.

    Required Acknowledgments

Some updates are marked as requiring acknowledgment. When you encounter one, a modal prompts you to read the update details and click "I Understand" before continuing. This mechanism ensures that critical changes — like new workflow behaviors, security policy updates, or feature deprecations — are formally communicated to all users. Your acknowledgment is logged with your user ID and timestamp.

    Internal Changelog

Admins can create internal changelog entries for organization-specific changes that are not system updates — for example, "New Grinding Station #4 added to Night Shift team" or "Routing templates updated for Part No. 7842." These internal entries appear alongside system updates on the Updates page for your organization's users, providing a single feed of all relevant changes.

    Staying Current

We recommend checking the Updates page at least weekly. Important updates also generate notifications (in-app and/or email depending on your settings). If a new feature or change is relevant to your team, share the update with your team members during shift meetings or via the announcements feature.
