    Purpose-Built for Machining

JobLine was designed from the ground up for CNC machine shops. Every feature — from work order routing with operation numbers to shift handoff forms with tool offset fields — speaks the language of machining. If you run mills, lathes, grinders, or EDM machines, this is your native environment.

    Station-Per-Machine Setup

Create a station for each CNC machine: VMC-01, HMC-02, Lathe-03, etc. Each station has its own check-in, its own queue of work orders, and its own handoff history. Operators see only the jobs assigned to their machine, keeping focus tight and reducing errors.

    Routing with Operation Numbers

Work order routing follows your operation sequence: Op 10 (Saw) → Op 20 (Mill Rough) → Op 30 (Mill Finish) → Op 40 (Deburr) → Op 50 (Inspect) → Op 60 (Ship). Each operation assigns to a specific station or work center type. The digital expeditor view shows exactly where every job sits in the production flow.

    Shift Handoffs with Machine Context

CNC handoff forms include machine-specific fields: spindle hours, coolant concentration, tool wear status, offset adjustments made, and program notes. Outgoing operators document: 'Running program O4472, tool 3 replaced at part 847, offset adjusted -0.0003" on Z. Coolant at 8.2%, added 2 gallons concentrate. Parts on skid by door — 847 of 1000 complete.'

    Quality Integration

First article inspections, in-process checks, and final inspections are routing steps with dimension tracking. When a part is out of spec, operators file an NCR with the measured vs. nominal values, and supervisors disposition (scrap, rework, or use-as-is) with full traceability.

    Why It Works

Manufacturing shops lose thousands of dollars per shift to miscommunication — wrong offsets, wrong programs, wrong material, or jobs that sit idle because nobody knew they were ready. JobLine eliminates these gaps with structured digital records that travel with the job and the shift.
