    Why Export Data

While JobLine.ai provides comprehensive in-app analytics and reporting, there are situations where you need raw data outside the application: creating custom reports for management, sharing production metrics with customers, feeding data into external business intelligence tools, archiving records for compliance, or integrating with systems that do not have a direct connector.

    Work Order Export

From the Queue page, apply any filters you want (status, priority, date range, work center) and then click the export/download button. The system generates an Excel (.xlsx) file containing all work orders matching your current filters. Columns include: WO Number, Part Number, Customer, Status, Priority, Due Date, Assigned Station, Quantity Required, Good Count, Scrap Count, Rework Count, Created Date, and Last Updated Date. The export respects your current sort order.

    Handoff Export

From a station's detail view, navigate to the handoff history section. Select a date range and click the export button. The resulting spreadsheet includes: handoff timestamp, outgoing operator name, incoming operator name, machine condition, work order number, parts counts at time of handoff, and the full text of operator notes. This export is valuable for quality audits and shift performance reviews.

    Analytics Export

On any analytics chart or dashboard widget, look for the download icon (typically an arrow pointing down). Clicking it exports the underlying data as a CSV file. The CSV contains the raw data points that the chart visualizes — timestamps, values, and category labels. This data can be imported into Excel, Google Sheets, or any data analysis tool for custom charting and deeper analysis.

    Activity Log Export

Admins can export the activity log from the Admin panel. Filter the log to the desired date range and event types, then click Export. The resulting CSV includes all matching log entries with timestamps, user IDs, user names, action descriptions, and metadata. This export is commonly used for compliance audits, incident investigations, and quarterly access reviews.

    Data Formats

Work order and handoff exports are in Excel (.xlsx) format for easy viewing and manipulation. Analytics and log exports are in CSV format, which is universally compatible with spreadsheet and database tools. All exports use UTF-8 encoding to properly handle special characters in notes and descriptions.
