    How JobLine.ai Certificates Work — Buy, Print, Transfer, Recertify

    Your JobLine.ai Certificate — A Quick Guide

    JobLine.ai issues two kinds of operator certificates:

    1. G-Code Academy (GCA) — purchased directly by you ($12, lifetime)
    2. Operator Acceptance Program (OAP) — issued by your employer after a mentor sign-off (typically valid 12 months and renewed at recert time)

    Both certificates live at a public verification URL like jobline.ai/verify/<your-cert-id> so anyone — a new employer, a recruiter, an auditor — can confirm it's real without needing an account.

    How to buy a GCA certificate

    1. Pass any GCA test bank at or above the passing score on /gcode-academy.
    2. On the success screen, click Get certificate ($12).
    3. You'll be taken to a Stripe checkout page. Pay with any card.
    4. After payment, you land on /cert/success and your certificate appears within a few seconds.
    5. We also email a copy to the address you used at checkout.

    Tip: You can take the test as many times as you want before paying. The fee only unlocks the printable certificate.

    How to find your existing certificates

    • Sign in and go to /oap/my-transcript to see every cert (GCA + OAP) issued to your account, plus a one-click link to each verification page.
    • Or, if you bookmarked it, just visit jobline.ai/verify/<your-cert-id> directly — no login required.

    How to print or download a PDF

    On any verification page (/verify/:certId):

    • Print — uses your browser's print dialog, formatted to US Letter.
    • Download PDF — generates a downloadable PDF you can attach to email or upload to a job application.

    Both work without logging in, so you can hand the URL to a recruiter and they can print it themselves.

    Sharing your OAP cert with a new employer

    OAP certs are portable. To bring your credentials with you:

    1. Sign in and open /oap/my-transcript.
    2. Click Generate transfer code. You'll get a single-use code that expires in 14 days.
    3. Give the code to your new employer. An admin or supervisor at that shop opens OAP Employer → Redeem operator transfer code and pastes it in.
    4. Your active certifications import into their dashboard. They can see what you're qualified for from day one — no re-issuing needed.

    Transfer codes are single-use and time-bound. Once redeemed, the code is consumed. Generate a new one if needed.

    What happens at recertification

    Most OAP certificates are valid for 12 months from issue. As you approach the expiration date:

    • Your employer sees you in their Operators due for recert (next 30 days) widget.
    • They can record one of: reminder sent, recertified, suspended, waived, or revoked.
    • If recertified, your cert's valid_until date is extended and the verification page reflects the new expiry.
    • If suspended or revoked, the public verification page clearly shows that status — your cert is no longer valid evidence of qualification.

    If you change employers before recert, generate a transfer token (above) so your new shop can carry the cert forward and recert you on their schedule.

    Common questions

    • Can I edit the name on my cert? It uses the display name on your profile at the time of issue. Update your profile and ask your employer (OAP) or contact support (GCA) to reissue.
    • What if I lose my cert ID? Sign in to /oap/my-transcript to see every cert you've earned.
    • Is my email visible on the verification page? No. Only your name, the cert program, the issuing organization (OAP) or "JobLine G-Code Academy" (GCA), and the date range are public.
